Monday, October 13th at Maplewood Park
U10s and U12s:
Competition starts at 3 pm (of course, the U10s will use the shorter field about 180')
U15: 3 pm
U18: 4 pm
If
we run late, there are lights at Maplewood.
You should now start considering
having your own home run
derby among your players to determine which two will be eligible to compete in the ABL HOME RUN DERBY.
The U10s
and U12s will compete in separate parks while the U15s and 18s will be using just one.
Team coaches are expected
to assist and help with the program by judging and overall supervision of the contest...
Each player may have a pitcher
of his choice.
Any swing of the bat which is not a home run will be considered an out.
Each "Sultan of
Swat" competitor is entitled to 25 outs.
The accumulation of home runs will be recorded.
The top two players
get Certificates.
If there is a tie: the players will be entitled to 15
extra outs.
At the end of the competition I will present the Home Run Derby "Sultan of Swat" framed Certificates.
Use
this event to have fun and meet and make some new friends.
The "Snack Shack" will be opened for your convenience.
PARKING...VERY IMPORTANT: Please park in
the lot which is located in the direction of the back Little League field and towards the left field of the Major League diamond.
Bring your friends, family and your whole team as well as you video
cameras to Maplewood to enjoy this momentous event.
